More than 50 million Americans are expected to be traveling for the Independence Day weekend, with 8 percent of those trips happening in the air. But flight delays and cancelations may be on the horizon for some of those passengers, leading to headaches and unwanted airport hotel stays.
If it happens to you, Bahama Breeze has got you covered.
From July 1 through 8, the popular restaurant chain is offering a special “Flight for a Flight” promotion at select locations across the country. Passengers whose flights are canceled can take advantage by heading over to one of the participating restaurants near those major airports with proof of a canceled flight during that same week. To help lighten the inconvenience, guests will be treated to a flight of the restaurant’s classic, dragonfruit, and coconut-pineapple margaritas.
“With summer travel well underway, we know nothing ruins the ‘vacation vibes’ like last-minute flight cancelations,” the chain declared. “That’s why we’re giving you the island escape you deserve and can always find here.”
If you’re not hungry, no problem; no food purchase is necessary to qualify.
Bahama Breeze locations across the country are taking part in the special offer. The promotion is valid at all Florida locations with the exception of Orlando International Airport (MCO), as well as those in Las Vegas, Virginia Beach, and Potomac Mills outside Washington D.C. It’s limited to one flight per person, for just one visit, and will only be awarded with proof of cancelation via email from the airline.
So, if you get stuck in one of these cities, it may not be all that bad after all.
