More on the Prize
Crafted to withstand rugged and wet Pacific Northwest weather, Danner chose lightweight leather and lined the Mountain 600 with waterproof Danner Dry.
Also, the Danner Mountain 600’s midsole is made of Vibram SPE (specialized performance elastomer). SPE is a technical compound composed of a co-polymer blend of synthetic natural rubber and EVA for comfort and flexibility, according to the brand.
For the outsole, Danner uses Vibram Fuga. Combined with the lug pattern grips on the bottom and the boot’s flex lines, your foot can expand to a wider surface area to help with stability, according to Danner. Vibram Megagrip is also aimed at maintaining traction in both wet and dry terrain.
More on the Brand
Founded in 1932, Charles Danner formed his namesake brand with inspiration from the Pacific Northwest. The brand says his mission was to bring purpose and integrity to boots.
Danner stated, “You don’t put on a pair of Danner boots to sit around the house. They’re made for adventure, exploration, and the hard work the men and women who wear them perform day in and day out.”
