Jason Statham Is Driving His Neighbors Mad With This Noisy Habit

Jason Statham is known for being a badass in movies. In real life, however, he’s apparently more of a nuisance to the other residents of his tony South London neighborhood.

As The Daily Mail reports, Statham and his longtime fiancée, model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, are drawing the ire of their South London neighbors due to their preferred—and very noisy—mode of transportation.

Statham, Huntington-Whiteley, and their two young children apparently have a penchant for getting around town in a helicopter versus a car. Is it faster? Probably. It’s also a heck of a lot louder. And, according to The Sun, their takeoffs and landings—which occur in a nearby playing field—have become a headache for their human neighbors, and a cause of alarm for their equine ones.

The Sun spoke with a 35-year-old mom who lives in the neighborhood, and witnessed the family’s very loud landing last Friday. “The helicopter flew quite low over a riding ground and spooked two horses which were out at the time,” she explained. Though the pilot did seem to have realized his error.

“After landing, the pilot ran across the field to say sorry,” the witness continued. “It looked like he was really apologetic and made an effort to make sure everyone was OK. But if a horse bolts with a 6-year-old on it, it won’t be pretty. Jason might have to save the day—again.”

Statham and Huntington-Whiteley utilized the copter again the next day, but witnesses said that the pilot appeared to be making a very conscious effort to avoid flying close to the riding school. Still, it’s not just the horses who aren’t a fan of the racket.

Another resident in the area said that the couple’s helicopter journeys have become a frequent sighting, and that “It flies low over our houses and it’s very loud. It’s not something we appreciate. I won’t be happy if it becomes a regular occurrence.”

“There’s a reason we chose to live far out from Heathrow or City airports,” the neighbor added.

The Sun did reach out to the couple for comment, but had not yet heard back.
