Actor Macaulay Culkin got into the Halloween spirit this year by poking fun at a joke in the sports world: the resemblance between him and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
On Oct. 30, Culkin took to Instagram with his Burrow costume, complete with his Bengals jersey and the signature orange and black striped helmet. “Game on,” the Home Alone star captioned the photo. In the comments, he told Burrow plainly, “Ball’s in your court, Joey B.”
Burrow caught wind of the look and chimed in on the post. “Touché, sir. Touché,” the Pro Bowl alum wrote. He then took to his Instagram Stories to continue the praise. “Touché, alleged doppelgänger,” he wrote.

The two’s physical resemblance has been on Burrow’s mind for some time. Back in 2022, when he was asked about who he would like to play him in a movie, he told reporters that he’d been told he looks like Culkin, according to USA Today.
In response to the costume, Burrow’s teammate Ja’Marr Chase commended the actor for the clothes, though he wasn’t fully convinced the two are twins.
“The hair was, like, there,” Chase said about Culkin’s costume. “The hair was definitely there. He pulled it off. But, I mean, he’s just missing the shoulder pads, and the pants, and the cleats. But it’s there.” When asked if the two look alike, he gave a resounding “No.”
It remains to be seen if Burrow dresses up as one of Culkin’s beloved characters for his Halloween costume this year.
