Mark Zuckerberg, T-Pain Reimagine Classic Rap Song With New Cover

Mark Zuckerberg and T-Pain released a most unexpected collaboration on Wednesday, putting out an acoustic medley of Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s “Get Low.”

Zuckerberg and T-Pain have formed a limited-time group, Z-Pain, to release the track. The Meta founder and CEO commissioned the song as a “dating anniversary” present for his wife, Priscilla Chan. “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary,” Zuckerberg captioned an Instagram post. “This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you P,” he concluded.

T-Pain made a separate announcement on his own account. “Z-Pain has arrived 🔥 ‘Get Low’ by @zuck and me out now,” he captioned a carousel of photos showing him and Zuckerberg in the recording studio and goofing around on bikes.

Zuckerberg later shared Chan’s appreciative reaction to his Instagram Story. “It’s so romantic,” she wrote alongside laughing emojis. “Twenty-one years later, I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fun memories.”

Zuckerberg is well known for his public displays of affection towards Chan. In August, he joked that he was “bringing back a Roman tradition” by erecting a massive statue of Chan in the couple’s backyard.

“Get Low” was originally released in 2002, the third single from Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz’s album Kings of Crunk. Zuck and T-Pain’s version is a much slower reimagining of the song which features auto-tuned vocals from Zuckerberg and a brief appearance by T-Pain. You can check out the new cover below.
