Gabrielle Union Strips Down to Bra and Underwear in New Ad Campaign


Gabrielle Union is showing no signs of slowing down more than two decades into her career. The actress and activist celebrated turning 50 last year with a revitalizing trip to Africa and has recently lent her talents to movies like The Perfect Find and TV shows like The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder

On March 27, Union took on a new role as a global brand ambassador for clothing brand Knix, which sells everything from underwear and bras to shapewear and swimwear. The Bring It On star wore matching black and yellow pairs of underwear and bras for the ad announcing the partnership. 

“Everything I’ve done, everything I’ve been outspoken about, this body has done it all with me,” she declared in the clip that featured other models. “What if there was a brand that was made for our bodies? Because every body has a story. They evolve, they change, they sweat, they bleed, they leak.” 

“That’s why I wear Knix,” she concluded. “For every stage, for every age, for every part of us.”

Comfort is key for underwear, especially as one gets older. These products, then, were right up Union’s alley. 

“I’m proud to be working with a brand like Knix,” Union said in a statement of collaboration, per ABC News. “Their mission to inspire people to live unapologetically free, at any age and any stage is what resonated with me most. Because when I stopped caring about what everyone else thought, and leaned into what I thought— that’s when I felt empowered and free.”
