Terrifying Twin Falls In-N-Out Shooting Videos Show Suspect, Hero Returning Fire

Terrifying videos showed the suspect in a mass shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, and the hero that an eyewitness says fired back at him. Social media erupted in support of the citizen who intervened on video.

The mass shooting left three dead and seven injured, some critically, a Twin Falls city spokesman told KSL. The gunman was also dead, according to Twin Falls police. He has not yet been named, and the television station said police are still working to determine a motive. “Footage from the scene shows a white male shooting up Teslas near the In-N-Out Burger,” wrote the Idaho Tribune of one viral video. Social media named a man as the heroic bystander, but the name has not yet been confirmed by an official source.

“Today at approximately 2:29 PM, officers with the Twin Falls Police Department, along with law enforcement partners from surrounding agencies, responded to the area of In-N-Out Burger for a report of an active shooter,” Twin Falls police wrote.

An Eyewitness Saw the Suspect With an AR-Style Rifle ‘Emerge From the Drive-Thru’ & Described Another Man Heroically Engaging Him

According to KSL, an eyewitness described heroics. Lane Koehn, 34, “said he was at a stoplight near the In-N-Out when he saw a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. A man with a pistol started firing at the shooter,” the station reported.

He then saw “someone in an In-N-Out uniform drag a person, also uniformed, bleeding from a gunshot wound in her chest across the parking lot,” according to KSL. An employee was among the deceased.

“She was pretty bad off, but I don’t know. I hope she made it,” Koehn said to the station.

KSL confirmed that video also “captured a shooter, who appeared to be dressed in black, walking up to a white car carrying a long rifle.”

Twin Falls, Idaho, Police Said There Have Been Fatalities & Said Misinformation Has Flown Around Social Media About the Suspect’s Identity

Multiple individuals “have been transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. Tragically, there have been fatalities. We are currently working to notify next of kin, and additional details will be released when appropriate,” police added.

“The suspect in this incident is deceased, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time. There is a lot of misinformation going around on social media about the shooter and their identity. We would ask that people refrain from sharing information in an attempt to not share miss information,” they added.

“The area around In-N-Out Burger and the Twin Falls Visitor Center remains closed while law enforcement and first responders continue to secure and process the scene. We ask the public to please avoid the area and allow emergency personnel to continue their work. The Perrine Bridge has reopened to traffic entering and leaving Twin Falls,” continued police. “Anyone with information related to this incident who has not already spoken with law enforcement is asked to contact dispatch at 208-735-4357.”

Idaho Governor Brad Little wrote, “Idahoans, join me in keeping the Twin Falls community in your prayers as law enforcement and first responders respond to an active shooter situation near In-N-Out. Please avoid the area and follow directions from law enforcement as they work to keep everyone safe.”
